About the Interlingua Education Institute
(IEI)
Founded in 2006, the Interlingua Education Institute, better known as IEI, is an international organization that promotes the international language Interlingua, and Interlingua education in general. The Institute collaborates with the Union Mundial pro Interlingua (UMI) and national Interlingua organizations, in developing and publishing educational materials and courses, dictionaries and instructional materials for teachers, parents and organizations.
The IEI also develops standards for the language, certifies Interlingua teachers, maintains a database of Interlingua material, and provides information on Interlingua in many languages.
Each year, the Interlingua Education Institute awards the Hugh E. Blair Medal of Distinction to individuals who contributed greatly to the promotion of Interlingua.
